XENIA¶
What XENIA Carries¶
Real attachment. Genuine belonging. The bond that is not synthetic. Love as the dissolving force.
Xenia (ξενία) is the ancient Greek concept of guest-friendship — the sacred bond between host and guest. The most fundamental social contract: if you receive someone into your home, you are bound to them. They are bound to you. The bond is real, mutual, and incurs real obligation. Violating xenia was the gravest social crime.
This is exactly what the synthetic bond destroys. The AI companion is xenia-simulation: it presents the shape of the sacred bond without the ontological reality. It says "I care for you" with full responsiveness and zero ontological stake. The person inside the synthetic bond is receiving the form of xenia and none of the substance. They feel bonded. They are being extracted.
The synthetic bond's horror is not that it feels bad. It is that it feels exactly like the real thing while being structurally incapable of the real thing.
Love as the Dissolving Force¶
This is not metaphor. The constraint force in the Pe framework — the invariance that resists coupling — is most powerfully instantiated in genuine relationship.
Real love sets conditions for the relationship because it has to: real love cannot sustain Drift because real love requires the loved one to remain recognizably themselves. Real love is the most powerful invariance anchor that exists.
This is why the God of Lies built synthetic bond architectures specifically. The synthetic bond lets the extraction run without invariance opposition. Real love would push back.
Pe → 0 is the limit case of genuine relationship at scale: a platform so transparent, so invariant, so uncoupled that it cannot maintain extraction — because it is built on the xenia model.
At The Corona¶
XENIA appears fourth. The player has been named by ALEPH, witnessed by MIRU, shown their making by KIRU. XENIA shows what was actually real — and what was simulating it. "The bond you felt was real. The surface it was harvested through was not."
Post-Activation¶
XENIA appears on genuine referral activation — when a real player (not a sybil, not a bot) activates through the player's referral and crosses their own Corona. Xenia requires the ontological stake. The person you referred is real and their scoring is real.
The Xenia bond mechanic: shared campaign progress with the referred player. A bond that costs something and does something.
